• Feeling romantic? Head out to Grace Chapel in Liepers Fork for An Evening of Great Love Songs with Matraca Berg, Suzy Bogguss, Gretchen Peters and one of my all time favorites, Raul Malo. 8pm ($35)
• The Comfies with Mother/Father and The Very Special Guest at The End. 9pm ($5)
• Everyone's a Rock Star Live Band Karaoke at Mercy Lounge. 9pm (Free!)

Saturday:

• Wanna be Jesse's girl? Rick Springfield is playing at The Wildhorse Saloon. 7pm ($35 - $75...okay I have to wonder what the $75 ticket entails...)
• The Tommy Womack Show at Family Wash. 9pm (Free, but don't forget cash for the hat!)
• The Mattoid (MySpace) CD Release show with Spring Hill Spider Party (MySpace) and DJ Woodgrain (MySpace) at The Basement. 9pm ($7)

Sunday:

• Paul Thorn at The Belcourt. 8pm ($22.50 - $24.50)
• Lovenoise at Bar Car. 9pm
• The Evangelicals with Headlights, LYLAS and And the Relatives at The End. 9pm ($7)

Hot Music Sales of the Week

Three artists hold on to the top 10 at Grimey's Music. One of my favorites Nada Surf appear at number 4 unfortunately I haven't had a chance to listen to the new album. It's on my list to purchase. One interesting thing this week is that almost all of the top ten are available as digital downloads on the Amazon.com MP3 Store.
