Howdy! I thought insanely busy weekends would let up after the New Year, but I was wrong…and I am definitely not complaining. With all the shows happening this weekend, it might be tough to squeeze in a midnight movie…but I cannot deny myself the chance to see Weird Science at the Belcourt! Also playing this weekend at the Belcourt: Until the Light Takes Us and the House (a.k.a. Hausu). House showed as a midnight movie back in the summer and again in autumn. Insanely entertaining.
And of course: this Sunday is Superbowl Sunday (go Saints!). I know a lot of local bars will be showing the game, but I have to recommend The Villager Tavern for Saints fans…there will be free Jambalaya and Gumbo! It is sure to be a fun night.
