Nashville Weekend “It” List: We Are Nashville, Flood Relief Edition

Photo: Robert Windel

What an incredibly exhausting week:  mentally, physically and emotionally.  In the past week, we have seen shining examples of Tennessee volunteerism and pride; and this weekend and the weeks ahead give us further opportunity to lend a hand to our neighbors.  There are numerous flood benefit shows going on, and plenty of volunteering opportunities with Hands On Nashville.

Friday, May 7:

  • Christopher Cross and the Nashville Symphony Orchestra at the Metro Courthouse.  8pm.  This concert was originally scheduled at the flooded Schermerhorn, but will now be a free outdoor concert.
  • Flood Relief Benefit featuring The Jack Silverman Ordeal at the Family Wash.  9pm.
  • Flood Benefit featuring Tim Chad and Sherry w/ Chris Crofton and The Bridges at the Basement.  9pm.

Saturday, May 8:

  • Flood Benefit featuring Diarrhea Planet, Bad Cop, POWERBRRRD, Frank the Fuck Out & Spanish Candles at The End

Sunday, May 9:

  • Flood Benefit Show featuring Pujol, Heavy Cream, Diarrhea Planet & more at Rocketown
